Carlos Santos deserves a lot of credit for his work in the United Arab Emirates, which is making the Abu Dhabi Pro: World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Cup possible. The one criticism so far of this ambitious tournament is that women are not permitted to participate, however Santos has stated that female jiu-jitsu competitors might be added in 2010.
