I was pretty nervous as the week was drawing to a close and I hadn’t lined up much in the way of content for all of you, the mighty 600,000. Things happen fast around here sometimes, and we’ve lined up another great show.
We’re going to start off with an interview with Don Dunn, the director of the movie Never Submit. On May 27 in Episode 69 of The Fightworks Podcast, we spoke with the writer of the original script for Never Submit, James Hergott, who has brought legal action against the production company Imperia Entertainment, asking a judge to stop work on the project until Hergott’s allegations have been straightened out. We inquired with Imperia Entertainment at the time for their side on the matter back then, and we’ve finally synched up with them. Dunn bring us up to date on the project.
We will speak with Thierry Sokoudjou, whose career has been on a meteoric rise over the past twelve months. Sokoudjou will give us an update on his status and also give us an update on Marcelo Garcia‘s preparation for his first mixed martial arts fight. Garcia, the 5’8″ Brazilian jiu-jitsu superstar, spent last week at Team Quest in Temecula working his stand up game.
Lastly, On The Mat.com’s Gumby brings us up to date on the action at the World Team Trials from Las Vegas this weekend. Gumby’s got some great perspectives on the significance of this competition and will bring us up to speed on why this one is special.
