BJJ Poll: Have You Read the New IBJJF Competition Rules?

by Caleb on April 28, 2012

In late 2011 the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation updated its rules governing jiu-jitsu competition. The new edition contains tons of full color images, so the scenarios being described are communicated very well. However it’s not just the attractive design that’s been updated. There are changes to the rules themselves, some of which are subtle.

Have you read the new rules? Let us know by voting in the poll and feel free to leave us a comment on the page as well!

Here is a copy of the rules if you haven’t read them!

I don’t compete and I read the rules. But then I read pretty much everything BJJ related I can get my hands on, so that isn’t surprising. ;)

I compete about once a yr and only pick up some of the rules during training. I am not a high level competitor and thus i am not overly interested when points scoring is hotly discussed during training. I like the more old school view with regards to competition.

A better poll would be “Have you read the rules and do you ref”?
