Another poll suggestion from Ross! This is one that I’m curious about, as Cohost Dan and I have been discussing this one for years. Let us know what it’s like where you train, and don’t be shy about leaving comments!

we do a warm up 90% of the time. the highest ranking student in the class leads it. sometimes i do a 15 min ginastica routine when i do it.
normally we just do about 15 min of running, rolls, shrimps, throws and stretching.
more rarely we do ‘strength’ type exercises and i cant remember the last time we did sit up/crunches in the warm up…….
depends on if there is a tournament coming up or if we’ve just come off one.
Before tournies can be brutal 45 – 60 minute torture sessions.
After tournies much more stretching, ginastica and positional repping.
The boss keeps us guessing which is a good thing.
We have a rotating warm up ciriculm where I train that is great because it changes up the routine and keeps it from being dull while definitely getting your ready for the class.
