I get to roll with my instructor once every week or two, and he frequently watches people on the mats, and I just ask him what he thinks I need to work on. If I'm able to do that consistently, and still don't think I'm making progress, then I'll look into privates. In other words, why get more instructionals, private lessons, and all that if I'm not adequately using the resources I already have a pay for? These have always been so valuable to me and I have always walked away with so much more. I do find myself considering paying for additional lessons but when it comes down to it at the end of the month the money just falls short to other priorities.
