if you are serious about wanting to be an Atos affiliate you can friend Ramon Lemos on Facebook and talk to him. Or you can go to http://www.galvaojiujitsu.com to get a hold of Andre.

Or even email me and I can forward it all, as I train at Atos in San Diego.

Just don’t spam me with stuff about Pancration. California already has a federation and group doing it.

the linage is somethinglike TT > brasa > Atos
Its Ramon Lemos team out of Sao Paolo.
I saw Gilbert Burns,Ramon Lemos, Raf and Gui Mendes showing techniques on one of the BJJ Spirits dvds. It was good to finally see Gilbert competing.
Bruno Frazzato is also apart of this team!

Cool summary – I’d love to see something similar on the other big teams.

Strange that Alliance in particular seems to spawn so many splinter teams: I read somewhere that it started off due to some of the younger members wanting to compete in the CBJJO (because they’d get paid), which the older generation frowned upon out of loyalty to the CBJJ.

Interesting, that Atos once were part of the TT team. As far as I know, Cobrinha and Michael Langhi both came from Terere to Gurgel and Alliance. And these two seem two be among the two biggest rivals of the Mendes brothers and Burns. According to what I’ve heard the air sword celebration started after one of the Mendes brothers had defeated Cobrinha. Now I wonder if these guys have trained at TT at the same time.
