MASTER RORION GRACIE IS A RED BELT BECAUSE HE BROUGHT JIU JITSU TO THE WORLD. HIS KNOWLEDGE IS SECOND ONLY TO THE GRANDMASTER HELIO GRACIE, THUS MAKING HIM VERY QUALIFIED. I noticed your comment on the side of the family and the variance in the awarding of the degrees on black belts or the coral belt and the red belt. Its evedent to me that Heilo gives out these belts more freely than Carlos’s side. In my town we have a academies from both sides, Helios side has a 6 degree black belt, and on Carlos’ side we also have a 6 degree black belt. The only diffrence is that on Carlos’ side that black belt was awarded a black belt when Helio’s black belt was given his blue, so how did Helio’s black belt catch up to Carlos’ black belt and i’m sure he will surpass him too. Or more widely shunned how is Rorion a red belt?

Hey Franck you are right. As Renzo says in the video where he gives the red & black belt to Carlos Jr., he says, “(Carlos Jr.) is brother of my father and cousin of my mother”. Very complicated. I made the change! Merci!
