In today’s BJJ Poll I’m wondering how many Brazilian jiu-jitsu DVDs you own. They can be instructional DVDs like the ones from Saulo Ribeiro, Marcelo Garcia, or Demian Maia. They could also be DVDs of competitions, like the Pan-Ams, Grapplers Quest, or BJJ World Championships. Doesn’t matter.
If you have a question you think would make a good poll, you can email me at caleb @ (this website) .com, or leave a recorded message for us by calling give us a call at 877-247-4662!

I just can’t get into them. Whenever I watch them, I want to roll immediately, and I can’t do that at home so I get frustrated, and by the time I get to the dojo, I have other things to do.
I watch one or two though.
Maybe next poll is, “How many BJJ books do you own?”.
I not only buy them I have also produced a few of them (me being the cameraman/editor) I must say though I just watched the 08 mudials and they were very very well put together. the commentary made a huge difference in the experience.
@Jon That’s a good one! We will work that in sometime!
I have a mix of several hundred individual dvd’s and dvd sets. Go to Budovideos.com and go to their BJJ, Grappling, and MMA Instructional section as well as their competition section and chances are I have most everything on their site and then some. I’m a huge fan of learning from Books, DVD’s, on-line, and from competition DVD’s! They are excellent additions to anyone’s training! I feel using these means of learning on top of in class instruction will sky rocket one’s progress. The funny thing is, Marc Laimon got me into using instructional media to learn from and improve my game. His self made VHS mixes were my first instructional videos I ever owned. It was all down hill from there. I spend so much money on instructional dvd’s and books it’s sick! My wife isn’t too particularly happy about it. Hey, people collect stamps and coins… I collect instructional dvd’s, books, and competition dvd’s!
