Just a heads up if you were not aware already – the second annual Brazilian jiu-jitsu no-gi World Championships are just around the corner and will take place on August 9 and 10 at California State University, Dominguez Hills, 1000 E. Victoria Street, Carson, California 90747.
Many are interested in who will be competing! Last year, as shown in the picture above, some very tough grapplers came out. Jeff Monson took first place, Bill The Grill Cooper earned the silver, and Roberto Tussa Alencar and Cristiano Titi Lazzari shared third place.
The International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation has posted the official list of competitors for 2008 here. However, if you’d rather see the competitors listed by belt than association, you can check out this list compiled by good friend of the FightWorks Podcast Ross Finlayson.
