Submit Your Vote for the Best BJJ Blogs of 2007!

December 3, 2007

vote

Last year we put out a listing of five Brazilian jiu-jitsu blogs that we found to be good reads for BJJ fans. Now it’s time for the annual decision of what the very best BJJ blog is for 2007!

Things you may consider when voting:

  • Regularity of posting
  • Quality of content
  • Multimedia present?

The poll will close on December 30th and we will announce the winner on December 31st!

Update December 9: Grapplers Quest has offered to help reward the winners of the contest and will be contributing two Grapplers Quest DVDs to the first place winner, and one DVD to the runner up!

    Hi Guys

Hope all is going well. Here is a great site (well it is my wifes site so I am a little bias):

    fraquellibjj.blogspot.com

She is one of the best girls fighing in the UK and you will hopefully be hearing a lot more from her in the future.

She writes about her training and ideas.

    Hope you enjoy it.

    Thanks,

    Lorenzo

Yep, put me down for a Christina vote too: lots of great stuff in there, with advice on nutrition and exercise rather than just BJJ. Also generally good to see more women blogging on the sport. :D

    Others I like:
    http://jiujitsubrotherhood.blogspot.com/
    http://stevebjj.blogspot.com/

And then some of the obvious ones:
    http://www.aesopian.com/
    http://bjj-australia.blogspot.com/
    http://smashpass.blogspot.com/

And then finally two that I first came across due to BJJ, but they don’t always mention it:

Community Jiu-Jitsu is the best site! The author is excellent at describing his BJJ experiences and allows all of us readers to visit various schools in the comfort of our web browsers! If you haven’t been there yet, do yourself a favor and check it out!

Hey, thanks for the nomination. I take pity votes! :D

My only problem now is who to vote for. I read and enjoy them all.

Just like to say a huge THANK YOU to the admin guys for shortlisting me for such an award.

My blog has only been live for 2 months but already I’m gaining positive feedback about what I’m doing, which is obviously very humbling indeed.

I think we as BJJ bloggers and readers can continue to help build the community and sites/awards like this are always going to help do that.

Good luck and I look forward to continuing to read some of my favourites (Aesopian, John Will, B stuff, Shogun HQ and Steve BJJ) and check out everyone elses that I haven’t seen.

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for the nomination. I read most of the blogs you have listed and now have learned of even more that I can enjoy.

    I appreciate the interest….

    Hey everyone,

Thank you so very much for your support, including my best friend and sparring partner (aka my husband) for my blog. At one point, I stopped blogging because I didn’t know if people took an interest, but I got such amazing support from so many women BJJers.

Yes, we are out there. I’ve had some great stories and letters from them. For all the women out there, keep encouraging each other and guiding each other to make our role in BJJ grow. We are out there and take BJJ and conditioning just as seriously as the men!
