IFL in Moline: Silverbacks beat Lions, Tigersharks beat Red Bears

Last night’s International Fight League action in Moline, Illinois, showed the difference between the teams that were put together in the IFL’s original set a year ago and the teams that were included more recently as part of the first official inaugural competition season. Pat Miletich’s Silverbacks disposed of Ken Shamrock‘s Lions four fights to one. Maurice Smith‘s Tigersharks defeated Igor Zinoviev’s Red Bears by the same score. Both the Silverbacks and Tigersharks were among the originally formed teams at the IFL’s inception.

The results of last night leave both the Tigersharks and Silverbacks, now tied for 5th place in league standings, vying to be among the top four teams in the league. Only the four teams with the highest standings will proceed to the IFL playoffs.

The IFL is reporting that over five thousand fans were in attendance for the event.
